He has more than 15 years of experience in the oil and gas industry and is an expert in various areas such as production sharing contracts, joint operating agreements, finance, accounting, taxation and commercial agreements. Throughout his distinguished career, he has successfully led acquisitions and transitions of upstream companies, demonstrating his ability to effectively manage complex processes. Specifically, he served as Chief Financial Officer for eight years in renowned companies such as Hess Equatorial Guinea and Kosmos Trident Energy E.G.

In addition, he has a strong academic background. He holds a Master’s degree in Finance and Sustainability and an MBA from the University of Cumbria, as well as a Bachelor’s degree in Finance and Business Management from the Autonomous University of Madrid. His constant pursuit of knowledge has allowed him to stay up to date with the latest trends and best practices in his field of specialization.

Likewise, it is important to highlight that he is a founding partner and Managing Director of CIFORAL S.L., a consulting services company that provides comprehensive solutions in areas such as Forensic Audit, Tax and Fiscal Advisory, Joint Operating Agreements (JOA) and Production Sharing Contracts (PSC), Organizational Structure Advisory, Business Management, Strategic Planning and Inventory Management. This entrepreneurial facet demonstrates his ability to lead and manage diverse projects, adding value to the organizations with which he collaborates.

By Presidential Decree No. 90/2023 dated June 23, he was appointed Director General of the National Gas Company of Equatorial Guinea (SONAGAS GE), a position he currently holds.
