SONAGAS GE (National Gas Company of Equatorial Guinea) participated this Saturday in a volunteer day at the Riaba Juvenile Re-education Center, sponsored by EGLNG. The goal was to improve the center's conditions and encourage the motivation of the 64 minors in the center, including eight women.

During the day, general cleaning, exterior painting, electrical repairs, carpentry, and plumbing were carried out. Motivational talks were also offered, and mosquito nets were distributed to the children as part of the center's well-being.

The event was attended by authorities such as the National Coordinator of Re-education Centers, María Alba Efua Abeso; the Director General of Penitentiary Institutions, Isacio Ela Olomo Obono; the Deputy Mayor of Riaba; the District Police Commissioner; and the center's own officials.

In the context of the International Day against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking, the team at Sampaka Mental Health Hospital, led by Dr. Bachir Ben Hach Ali, offered a preventive talk on drug addiction.

During his speech, EGLNG's CEO, Curtis Ryland, emphasized that these initiatives reflect a community that supports each other with responsibility and solidarity. For his part, the Deputy CEO emphasized the company's social commitment—which includes ConocoPhillips, SONAGAS, and Marubeni, he reminded us—to the communities where it operates. We also had the valuable presence of Verónica Menvola, EGLNG's Public Relations Manager (PR & Executive Support Planning), who is responsible for coordinating all activities.

SONAGAS' participation in this solidarity event is part of its strategic vision to contribute to the social development of Equatorial Guinea, reinforcing its commitment to quality education, inclusion, and the reduction of inequalities in society.
