SONAGAS GE STRENGTHENS ITS COMMITMENT TO INNOVATION AT THE FORUM ORGANIZED BY KOIA INNOVATION HUB

The national gas company, SONAGAS GE, participated in the innovation and entrepreneurship forum organized by Koia Innovation Hub, held at the Martínez Hermanos Industrial Park. The event aimed to present the new innovation center's facilities and foster dialogue among key players in Equatorial Guinea's technological and entrepreneurial ecosystem.

The national gas company, SONAGAS GE, participated in the innovation and entrepreneurship forum organized by Koia Innovation Hub, held at the Martínez Hermanos Industrial Park. The event aimed to present the new innovation center's facilities and foster dialogue among key players in Equatorial Guinea's technological and entrepreneurial ecosystem.


The event was opened by Victoria Munguti, director of the Koia Innovation Hub program, who welcomed attendees and highlighted the center's mission as a platform for fostering local talent and the country's digital transformation.

Among the high-ranking authorities present, the participation of His Excellency Mr. José Eko Owono Mangue, Secretary of State for Transport and Telecommunications; Oscar Ondó Ngomo, Director General of GITGE; and Claudio Vázquez Eló Nve, Director General of the National Development Agency of Equatorial Guinea (ANDGE), stood out, who underlined the

importance of promoting innovation as a driver of economic development.


Representing SONAGAS GE, Belinda Sinforosa Otogo Meñeng and Francisco attended Esono Ondo, from the Marketing, Communications, and Image Department, who shared the company's vision of the strategic role of innovation in the energy sector, as well as its commitment to developing solutions that drive digital transformation and sustainable economic growth.


The day included a series of institutional presentations and discussion panels on the needs of the local innovation ecosystem. Among the participating entities, the most notable was IDENTIC Foundation, whose director, Sylvia Bosibori Makario, together with Paulina Laurel Sami (project assistant) and Rosalinda Eho (sales manager), presented various initiatives aimed at strengthening technological innovation and youth entrepreneurship in Guinea Equatorial.


The panel of experts brought together leading professionals such as Leah Hinestrosa (CEO of

LEMARK), Disrael Bakale Bonoko (founder of ASTA Academy), Manuel Luis Ebang (director of internal audit at BANGE) and Víctor Alfonso Nzang (coach and speaker), moderated by Honorina Botua Losoha (BXP SL).

During the event, innovative proposals were also presented by the agency AVANTE and other key players in the ecosystem, highlighting the need to establish synergies between entrepreneurs, researchers, companies, and investors.


The participation of SONAGAS GE reaffirms its willingness to support projects that promote the Innovation, youth employability, and intersectoral collaboration as essential pillars of Equatorial Guinea's sustainable development.
